What is Amnanda Marma?

Image

Marma is a treatment to help reduce or eliminate pain, which is localised in a particular area. It can also be used to treat psychological pain or a part of the body that somehow feels blocked.

What does the process involve?

Amnanda Marma works mainly unconsciously in the client and is based on the combination of physical touch and meditative, cognitive work. Unlike some other forms of talk therapy or guided visualisation, in this treatment I do not influence or guide the development of the client’s images.

In Amnanda Marma, you will go on an inner journey; sharing and describing your mental pictures with me. During this process, I will ask questions while gently moving my hand over the pain site.

This treatment forms a more positive mind-body connection and the sensation of pain is changed through the creation of new neural connections. Marma therapy usually requires between 1-3 sessions, but a single treatment may be enough to significantly relieve pain and, in some cases, for it to completely disappear.

Amnanda Marma can be combined with Amnanda Process. If the treatments are carried out within the same appointment, 15 minutes must be left between them. There is no age limit for Amnanda Marma, but the treatment may not be suitable for some clients with pre-existing conditions. Please do contact me to discuss this further.

The cost of this 60-minute treatment is £45.
